چکیده

Abstract Density and undeveloped land can be identified using digital transformation through remote sensing data. This study aims to map the distribution of building densities with Normalized Difference Built-Up Index (NDBI) Urban (UI), analyze comparison NDBI UI methods, relationship between on in Banjarmasin City. The data used obtain density image Landsat 8 Oli Tirs. method separate built area non-building classification. was developed from results multispectral classification filtered for level. this indicate that has a positive because high value. Non-built constructed shows an accuracy 91.4505% 92.5359% UI, there is difference 1.0854% greater UI. Overall exceeding 80% indicates very mapping.

Monitoring the Built-up Area Transformation Using Urban Index and Normalized Difference Built-up Index Analysis

Makassar is one of the metropolitan cities located in Indonesia which recently experiences massive an increased construction because of population growth. Mapping the spatial distribution and development of the built-up region is the best method that can use as an indicator to set the urban planning policy. The purpose of this study is to identify changes in land use and density in Makassar Cit...

Enhanced Built-Up and Bareness Index (EBBI) for Mapping Built-Up and Bare Land in an Urban Area

Remotely sensed imagery is a type of data that is compatible with the monitoring and mapping of changes in built-up and bare land within urban areas as the impacts of population growth and urbanisation increase. The application of currently available remote sensing indices, however, has some limitations with respect to distinguishing built-up and bare land in urban areas. In this study, a new i...

Mapping and Attributing Normalized Difference Vegetation Index Trends for Nepal

Global change affects vegetation cover and processes through multiple pathways. Long 1 time series of surface land surface properties derived from satellite remote sensing give unique 2 abilities to observe these changes, particularly in areas with complex topography and limited research 3 infrastructure. Here, we focus on Nepal, a biodiversity hotspot where vegetation productivity is 4 limited...

A Modified Normalized Difference Impervious Surface Index (MNDISI) for Automatic Urban Mapping from Landsat Imagery

Impervious surface area (ISA) is a key factor for monitoring urban environment and land development. Automatic mapping of impervious surfaces has attracted growing attention in recent years. Spectral built-up indices are considered promising to map ISA distributions due to their easy, parameter-free implementations. This study explores the potentials of impervious surface indices for ISA mappin...

Urban Heat Island Analysis Using the Landsat TM Data and ASTER Data: A Case Study in Hong Kong

In this paper, the effect of urban heat island is analyzed using the Landsat TM data and ASTER data in 2005 as a case study in Hong Kong. Two algorithms were applied to retrieve the land surface temperature (LST) distribution from the Landsat TM and ASTER data. The spatial pattern of LST in the study area is retrieved to characterize their local effects on urban heat island. In addition, the co...
